Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing some long track speed skaters over at the Olympic Oval here in Calgary. The Oval is home to the fastest ice in the world as I was told, and on any given day you can find some of the best speed skaters in the world training. This shoot was for some team alberta athletes, and a few team Canada athletes joined in. I’m still waiting to hear back from Speed Skating Canada for permission to post the national team athletes images so those may come later, but for now here are a few of my favs from the other awesome athletes.
